Governor's Message
Dear ACP Minnesota Members,
We had such a wonderful time connecting with many of you at the ACP Internal Medicine Meeting in New Orleans! From the powerful sessions to the incredible music and food (beignets and brass bands, anyone?), it was a joy to be together as a community committed to learning and growing in medicine.
Congratulations to our new ACP Fellows!
We're so proud of the Minnesota members who achieved Fellowship this year. Your commitment to excellence and service is inspiring. If Fellowship is on your horizon, we encourage you to explore the process and apply—learn more here. Please also view this between myself and membership chair, Dr. Katie Helgan where you can get your questions answered.
Nominate a Colleague for ACP Mastership
We are fortunate to have many colleagues whose careers reflect deep impact, leadership, and service. ACP Mastership honors those with outstanding contributions to internal medicine and the College. While this is not a self-nomination process, we as a community can celebrate and recognize one another.
If someone comes to mind, we hope you'll consider nominating them. You can find more information here, and please feel free to reach out to me directly with any questions.
Thank you for being part of this incredible community.
Warmly-
With gratitude,
Tseganesh Selameab, MD, FACP
Governor, Minnesota chapter of the Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½

Advocacy in Action: Leadership Day
Many of us from the Minnesota chapter headed to Washington, D.C. for ACP's Leadership Day—an opportunity to bring our voices to Capitol Hill and advocate for policies that support our patients and our profession. In an often turbulent healthcare landscape, joining ACP and engaging in its advocacy efforts is one way we can bring about meaningful change together. Collective advocacy through membership, legislation, and community connection is how we stand up for internal medicine—and for each other.
Congratulations to Grace Hagan, MD (resident) and Katie McLaughlin (medical student) for full scholarships, and Laura DalSanto, MD, FACP (hospitalist) for a partial scholarship.
A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Sally Berryman, Chair of our Health & Public Policy Committee, for her ongoing leadership—and to the entire committee for diligently monitoring legislation and bringing timely updates to our broader community. Your work keeps us informed and engaged. Please let Dr. Berryman know if you are interested in participating in our MN-ACP Health and Public Policy Committee or have any questions about this work. You may contact her at berry022@umn.edu
