PHILADELPHIA, May 11, 2021 – In a new paper released today, the Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ (ACP) acknowledges the potential for patient-reported outcome–based performance measures that are methodologically sound and evidence based to assess and improve patient-centered care, but recommends caution in how they are used. The , Recommending Caution in Patient-Reported Outcome–Based Performance Measurement was published in Annals of Internal Medicine.

Washington, D.C. May 4, 2021 – A new set of recommendations released today by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine (NASEM) could help to improve primary care medicine for patients and physicians, said the Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ (ACP).  analyzes the challenges facing primary care and lays out an implementation plan for strengthening primary care medicine.

Washington, D.C. April 29, 2021 – The Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ (ACP) is pleased that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will take steps to ban menthol cigarettes across the nation and believes this plan will greatly strengthen public health in America. ACP also supports the FDA’s proposal to prohibit flavored cigars, including those with menthol.
