PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 15, 2020 – The Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ (ACP), representing 163,000 internal medicine physicians, supports the recommendation of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for the use of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine in persons 16 and older in the U.S. under the Food and Drug Administration’s Emergency Use Authorization. ACP also supports the addition of an amendment to the 2021 Adult Immunization Schedule to include use of COVID-19 vaccines.
